What This Policy Covers

Netlogic Computer Consulting, LLC operates this website at netlogiccomputer.com. This policy explains what we collect here, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Netlogic Computer Consulting, LLC.

This policy covers the website, and only the website. If you are a Netlogic client, the data inside your own systems, your Microsoft 365 tenant, your servers, your backups, and your network, is governed by the service agreement we signed with you, not by this page. Where we handle protected health information on a client’s behalf, a Business Associate Agreement governs that instead. Nothing on this page changes or overrides either of those.

What You Give Us

You only give us personal information here if you choose to. There are three ways that happens.

• The contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, company, and whatever you write in the message. The form is hosted by Cognito Forms, which passes the submission to us.
• The employment application. Your name, contact details, work history, and anything else in what you send, including your resume. Also hosted by Cognito Forms.
• Email and phone. Whatever you choose to tell us when you write or call.

There is nowhere on this website to enter payment card details, and we never ask for them here.

Please do not send sensitive information through the contact form. That means Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health records, passwords, and anything similar. If you need to get something sensitive to us, call and we will set up a secure method instead.

What Is Collected Automatically

Three things happen without you doing anything.

• Server logs. Our host records the usual technical details of a web request: IP address, browser and device type, which pages were requested, when, and which page referred you. These exist for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It tells us which pages people read, roughly where visitors are located at a city level, what device they used, and which pages lead someone to get in touch. We look at it in aggregate. We are not trying to identify you personally, and we do not attempt to.
• Session recording. We use Microsoft Clarity, also loaded through Google Tag Manager. It records how people move through a page: mouse movement, scrolling, clicks, and which parts of a page hold attention. That produces heatmaps and replays of anonymous sessions, which is how we find the places where a page confuses people. We watch it to fix the site. We are not trying to identify you, and we do not attempt to.

We do not run advertising or remarketing pixels on this website.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses them in four categories.

• Strictly necessary. Set by WordPress to keep the site working and to protect against abuse. The site cannot function properly without these.
• Analytics. Set by Google Analytics to tell repeat visits from new ones and to measure how pages perform.
• Form. Set by Cognito Forms so a form you are partway through keeps its state.
• Session recording. Set by Microsoft Clarity to recognize a session while it is being recorded and to tell a repeat visit from a new one.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary ones, parts of the site may stop working. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google publishes a browser add-on that does it across every site you visit.

How We Use What We Collect

We use your information to do the thing you contacted us about, and to run the business behind it.

• Answer your question, prepare a quote, or arrange an assessment
• Evaluate a job application and communicate with you about it
• Keep the website working, secure, and free of abuse
• Understand which pages are useful so we can write better ones
• Meet our legal, tax, and insurance obligations

What We Do Not Do

These are commitments, not aspirations.

• We do not sell your personal information. We never have.
• We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Nobody else gets to email you because you contacted us.
• We do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in a form. If we want to send you something regular, we will ask you first, and you can stop it at any time.

Who Else Handles It

Running a website means other companies process some of this on our behalf. Each is bound by contract to use it only to provide the service we hired them for.

• Automattic, which hosts this website on WordPress.com
• Cognito Forms, which hosts the contact form and the employment application
• Google, for Analytics and Tag Manager
• Microsoft, whose services carry our email, hold our internal records, and provide the session recording described above

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, when we need to establish or defend a legal claim, or when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect someone’s safety or our property. If we are ever compelled to hand over your information, we will tell you unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.

How Long We Keep It

We keep information for as long as it is useful for the purpose you gave it to us for, then we get rid of it.

• Contact form submissions and related correspondence. Kept while we are in contact with you about your inquiry, and for a limited period afterwards in case you come back to us. Ask us to delete them sooner and we will.
• Job applications. Kept for long enough to run the hiring process and to come back to strong candidates when another role opens. Tell us you would rather we did not, and we will delete yours.
• Analytics and session recording data. Retained according to the retention periods set in Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
• Server logs. Kept by our host for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

How We Protect It

We are a security company, so it would be awkward to be vague here.

• The website is served over HTTPS, so what you send is encrypted in transit
• Access to submissions is limited to the people who need it to do their job
• Our own accounts are protected with multi-factor authentication and conditional access through Microsoft Entra ID
• Our staff hold current security certifications, which you can check on our certifications page

No website and no method of transmission is perfectly secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. What we can tell you is that we take it seriously, and that we would tell you promptly if something happened to your information.

Your Choices and Your Rights

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to do any of the following, and we will.

• Tell you what we hold about you and where it came from
• Correct it if it is wrong
• Delete it, unless we are required to keep it for a legal or contractual reason, in which case we will tell you which
• Stop emailing you, either through the unsubscribe link or by asking us

Several states now give residents formal versions of these rights, with thresholds that decide which businesses they apply to. Rather than work out whether we cross a threshold in your state, we extend the rights above to everyone who asks. Children

This website is aimed at businesses and the people who work in them. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

Links and Embedded Content

Some pages link to or embed content from other companies. The contact page embeds a Google map. The contact and careers pages embed forms from Cognito Forms. We link to Microsoft, to our own sister site at netlogicmy365.com, and to sources we cite. Once you are on someone else’s site, or interacting with their embedded content, their privacy policy applies rather than ours.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the bottom. If the change is significant, we will say so plainly at the top rather than hoping you notice.
